The dates for next years national band championships have been announced: 29th and 30th of March. They will take place in Limerick. The set piece for our section is "Psalm 98" by Paul Hamilton

We will be flying Ryanair from Shannon to Barcelona (Girona) on the 25th July 2008. At the airport a coach will pick us up and drive us over the Spanish border to Perpignan which is approximately 70km away. We will return home to Shannon on the 1st August 2008.

Ian McDonald (1st trombone) recently proposed to his girlfriend Claire and he was delighted when she said yes.

Brendan Campbell sadly passed away on Thursday 13th March. He had been battling with cancer for sometime. An excellent trombone player and a very likeable man, he will be missed by us all.

The band is being featured on Brian McLoughlin's radio show this weekend. It will be airing sometime between 08:00am and 08:45am on Sunday 29 June. The recording took place at a recent band rehearsal. It features some music as well as interviews with the band.
